Maandamano kulaani vita yaongezeka katika Vyuo Vikuu Marekani
Maandamano ya wanaounga mkono Wapalestina yameongezeka katika vyuo vikuu vya juu vya Marekani siku ya Jumatatu.
Baada ya usiku kuingia, polisi wa kutuliza ghasia wakiwakabili waandamanaji katika Chuo Kikuu cha New York na kuwakamata watu wengi.
Mamia ya waandamanaji walikaidi amri ya chuo kikuu kuondoka kwenye uwanja ambako walikusanyika.
Waandamanaji walikuwa wanapiga kelele wakiitaka mamlaka ya Chuo Kikuu cha New York, NYU kuachana na juhudi zinazohusishwa na vita vya Israel huko Gaza. Katika Chuo Kikuu cha Columbia cha New York, polisi waliwazuia waandamanaji kadhaa.
Maandamano yanayoendelea katika vyuo vikuu ni taswira ya kuongezeka kwa mzozo kati ya Israel na Palestina, ulioanza tarehe 7 Oktoba kwa shambulio baya la wanamgambo wa Kiislamu wa Hamas nchini Israel, na jibu kali la Israel katika Gaza inayodhibitiwa na Hamas.
